Greg Dougherty

INFINERA | MAXLINEAR

Greg Dougherty has been a member of Infinera’s Board of Directors since January 2019. He previously served on the Board of Fabrinet from 2019 to 2022. Greg was the Chief Executive Officer of Oclaro from June 2013 until its acquisition by Lumentum in December 2018, and served as a Director of Oclaro from April 2009 through the sale. Prior to Oclaro, Greg was a Director at Avanex Corporation, a global leader in intelligent photonic solutions, from April 2005 to April 2009, when Avanex merged with Bookham to form Oclaro.

Additionally, Greg served on the Board of Picarro, Inc., a manufacturer of ultra-sensitive gas spectroscopy equipment, from October 2002 to August 2013, and acted as Interim CEO from January 2003 to April 2004. Earlier in his career, he was the Chief Operating Officer at SDL from 1997 to 2001, continuing in that role following SDL’s acquisition by JDS Uniphase Corporation until 2002. From 1989 to 1997, Greg led Product Management and Marketing for the Optoelectronics Strategic Business Unit at Lucent Technologies Microelectronics.

Greg has also contributed to the community, serving as a Board Member for the Ronald McDonald House at Stanford (2004-2009) and the Bay Area Make-A-Wish Foundation. Currently, he serves on the Boards of IPG Photonics Corporation, a global fiber laser manufacturer, and MaxLinear, a fabless integrated circuit design company.

Greg holds a B.S. in Optics from the University of Rochester, earned in 1983.
