Nigel Alvares joined Avicena in 2025 as Vice President of Product and Marketing, bringing more than 25 years of leadership in semiconductor product management and marketing for data infrastructure end markets.

Before joining Avicena, Nigel spent eight years at Marvell Technology, where he held senior product and marketing leadership roles and helped transform the company into a leader in cloud data center and AI infrastructure semiconductors. Earlier in his career, he led the development and management of market-leading memory interconnect, storage controller, and data networking product lines at Inphi and PMC-Sierra.

Nigel holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University.
