Joe Young was appointed Co CEO of Finisar Corporation in August 2019. Prior to becoming CEO Joe served as Finisar’s Executive Vice President, for Global Operations since January 2008. Joe served as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Finisar’s Optics Division from June 2005 to August 2008. Joe joined Finisar in October 2004 as Senior Vice President, Operations.

Prior to joining Finisar, Joe served as Senior Director of Enterprise Products, Optical Platform Division of Intel Corporation from May 2001 to October 2004. Joe was Vice President Operations at LightLogic, Inc. from September 2000 to May 2001, when LightLogic was acquired by Intel, Joe was Vice President of Operations at Lexar Media Inc. from December 1999 to September 2000. Lexar completed an IPO in August 2000. Joe worked at Raychem/TE from 1983 to December 1999 in various positions, including his last role as Director of Worldwide Operations for the OEM Electronics Division of Raychem Corporation.

Joe holds a M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an M.S. in Operations Research from the University of New Haven and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
