Simon Richmond joined Avicena as VP of Operations in April 2023. Simon has 25 years of operations management experience across fabless semiconductor, optical networking and even shipbuilding – you could say he’s worked in chips, ships and optics! Most recently Simon has held leadership roles in Kandou, Kaiam and Effect Photonics where he was responsible for Transceiver Production, Supply Chain and Business Planning. Simon holds an MBA degree from Edinburgh Napier University.
